Texas Rose Festival:
Texas is famed for its beautiful roses. The state has been celebrating the beauty and fragrance of roses through the Texas Rose Festival held in Tyler since 1933. Public leaders and women of the Tyler Garden Club fashioned this festival with the idea of encouraging the rose industry, expanding tourism, instigating community pride and rejoicing volunteerism. This rose Festival lasts for four-days and proposes a Rose show, a Rose Pageant and a Queen's Tea. In 1968, the prominent Tyler Roses were gifted to President Lyndon B. Johnson's wife, Lady Bird Johnson.
Oleander Festival of Galveston :
Oleander is state's beautiful wildflower. These elegant blue bonnets can be found in most of the interiors of this gorgeous state. The origin of this festival goes back to 1921 and even today this beautiful festival is held every year in May. This festival is a celebration of a true beauty as well as its history with Galveston . It was in 1841, this lovely plant was brought to Galveston from Jamaica by a Galveston merchant, Joseph Osterman. Mrs. Isadore Dyer, sister-in-law of Joseph Osterman, was responsible for the popularity of this beautiful flower among citizens of the state. She circulated the shrub among her neighbors. The Texas coastline is beautifully ornamented by numerous Oleanders. Every year Mrs. Isadore Dyer" hoist a flag every May above Galveston 's city hall as a tribute for "Oleander Month".
Charro Days Fiesta:
Since 1938, it has been celebrated during the month of February every year, with a four day Latin Festival. It is celebrated with all enthusiasm and appropriate costuming, parades, carnivals and dances. The series of events take place in the beautiful city Brownsville and its sister city, Mexico and Matamoros , which exhibit the beautiful connection shared by both countries. This is a stunning event, full of colors with viewers and participants dressed up in their colorful Mexican traditional outfits.
Annual North Texas Irish Festival:
The biggest Celtic Festival is held during the month of March in Dallas , Southwest. Annual George Paul Memorial Bull Riding Competition:

The main purpose of this competition is to pay a tribute to legendary World Champion Bull Rider 1968, George Paul. He held a record to his credit. He rode seventy nine bulls successively without being thrown. Academy awards for Bull Riding are given to top grade bull riders, rodeo bullfighters and bulls. The event holds unlimited fun and pure excitement from the beginning to end.
Port Neches River Fest- Tunnel Boat Races:
Every year, this amazing festival is organized during the month of May.
